Welcome to our church community page! We are a group of people who share a common faith and come together to worship, learn, and grow in our spiritual journeys. Our community is open to everyone, regardless of their background or beliefs. We believe that everyone is welcome in the house of God, and we strive to create an inclusive and welcoming environment for all. Our community is built on the foundation of love, compassion, and service to others. Preschool

Mickleover Methodist Preschool

Mickleover Methodist Preschool is located at the Church and has been based there since 1967.  We welcome children from Mickleover and any surrounding areas.  The Preschool is registered with and inspected by Ofsted and we receive LEA funding which enables eligible 2.5 to 4 year olds to have free places. Further details can be found on our website   www.mickleovermethodistpreschool.co.uk

Our aim is to create a happy, caring environment, where children and parents feel welcome.

In our preschool, experiences and activities are planned to create a free-play environment in which children can develop their early skills.  Our emphasis is for the children to learn through play, because we believe play is the most effective way for children to use new learning.  They can try out new ideas, pretend to be different people and test new information in their own way.

Every term we work with a central topic or theme.  We use the theme to incorporate  and build on the interests, knowledge and experience that the children may already have.  Children are given the opportunity to look at ideas in a variety of ways.  Further details of the curriculum are available.

The preschool uses the specially designed crèche area in the Church Centre and one half of the Large Hall.

It also has a large enclosed outside area which had a soft surface for safe outdoor play.

The Preschool is overseen by a Management Committee which is responsible to the Church Council

Opening times are
Monday 9.15am – 12.15 am
Tuesday to Friday  9.15am – 4.00 pm
