Mickleover Churches Together

Alternative Christmas Gift Market

The Alternative Christmas Gift Market was held at All Saints Church on Etwall Road on 17th November 2007.  We supported projects across the world, and, as well as old favourites, had new and unusual gifts - for example, bricks, hairdressing equipment, a bicycle (or half of one if you prefer), a high level water tap or nails.

OVER £7,000 WAS RAISED

CHILDREN’S ACTIVITY DAYS - AGAIN IN FEBRUARY 2008

Mickleover Churches Together ran three Activity Days on  Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 19, 20 and 21 February 2007 at our Methodist Church Centre for Mickleover children of school years 3 - 6.

Entitled 'Go Wild', the children certainly did.  We had just over 140 children enrolled with an average attendance of 115 each day.

Watch out for the details of next year's event.

Saturday Lunches

On the first Saturday of each month Lunches are served in the Church Centre from 12 noon .  Do come and join in this time of refreshment and fellowship.  The proceeds of the lunches this year are helping to support the Mickleover Ecumenical Youth Worker project.

DO YOU LIKE WALKING?

A number of keen walkers have recently formed a walking group in the church.  The first walk, around the grounds of Calke Abbey, took place on Saturday 15 August.  An average of 12 people and usually one dog enjoy this time of exercise and fellowship together.  The group has since done walks based on Hartington, the High Peak Trail, Chatsworth Park and from Bakewell.

Anyone is very welcome to join us.  If you want further information, please contact the church office.
