10th
Derby GB Company meets on Wednesday
evenings from 6 -7.30 pm during term time. |
The evening starts with games, noisy and energetic or quiet and subdued. |
This is followed by badge work and other activities.
|
|
|
|
| The
GB programme is in four parts, |
SPIRITUAL
We have
explored our new church building,
looked at the different books and furniture and
discussed what they are all used for;
read and watched videos of Bible stories;
learned some new songs and choruses and
made models and pictures to illustrate them.
|
|
|
PHYSICAL
The girls enjoy singing and
chase games, noisy team games and the current craze is skipping.
|
|
EDUCATIONAL
Craft activities are always
popular especially if they involve getting messy with glue and glitter.
Some
educational subjects are more serious, we have in recent years learned
about safety in the home and followed a course on drug awareness.
|
|
|
SERVICE
The girls always enjoy cooking,
though when chocolate is involved their creations do not always make it
home. Clearing up is not so well appreciated, but that is what service is
really about!
Last year we
talked about people with disabilities and what we can do to help them and
our older girls learnt Maketon sign language

This
is just a taste of what goes on on a Wednesday evening, each session is
different but always enjoyable and often exhausting!
