The Mickleover Methodist Church Logo represents the Church reflecting the love of Christ on the Cross by welcoming the whole community to share in the Methodist Church Centre business team

The Business Team is responsible for managing the finance, and the maintenance and development of the buildings.

The Team consists of a group of individuals covering a wide range of professional and practical skills.

They manage the business of the Church on behalf of the Church Council to whom they report on a regular basis.

Areas of responsibility for the Business Team include:

Finance

	Produce a financial plan to ensure that the resources are sufficient to meet the needs of the Church to carry out its mission
	Monitor income and expenditure against the budget and take correct action if necessary
	Encourage members and congregation to give generously but responsibly to meet the Church’s mission and needs
	Ensure that all resources are used and committed in an efficient and effective way

Property

	Ensure the premises are kept in a safe, clean and user friendly condition throughout by a planned maintenance programme
	Make all users aware of the need to understand the regulations regarding the use of the premises. These include fire regulations, health and safety, food hygiene, security of the premises and COSSH
	Make maximum use of the buildings (resources) through the lettings policy
	Ensure adequate insurance cover is maintained at all times for the benefit of all parties in relation to buildings, contents and public liability
	Ensure the lettings policy is updated regularly to the benefit of all parties
	Negotiate all lease agreements for the benefit of all parties and ensure they are binding and adhered to
